FFF (Fun & Friendly Fridays): The Sankey Memorial Cup starts this Friday July 3. 4 teams of 4 players competing over 4wks in a 3 on 3 comp. Dates are July 3, 10 17 & 24. We will need all 4 goalies for this... Kiri, Twitch, Josh & John are set!!..

RINKRATS: "Last Wednesday night the RinkRats went head to head with the Logan Rangers, in what was a stunning Grand Final rematch.  Again the RinkRats came in as the underdogs, with only six players able to make the game.  But they were not going to be push overs, striking the first blow, a beautifully set up goal, passed from Cervenjak to McGourty deep in the left corner, then from the rookie across goal to O'Leary (27), unmarked in the slot, for an easy backhand into an open net.  The Rangers took a while to find their feet, only able to score two goals in response before the end of the first half.  Logan extended their lead to two early, in what was to be a tightly fought second half.  The RinkRats began their traditional comeback with 10 minutes remaining, after O'Leary (27) outskated the younger opposition, and found himself free to shoot from the top of the slot, bringing the gap back to within 1 goal.  But the fight back was not to be.  Another Ranger goal 7 minutes from the end saw hopes start to fade.  Then with 2 minutes remaining in the game the final nail in the coffin, a loose puck found it's way past our defenders at halfway, and Cervenjak under pressure from a fast flying Ranger, attempted to clear the puck around the boards behind goal, but instead mis-hit it past goalie Everingham into her own goal.  Final score 5-2 to Logan.  All heads were held high because short handed, but still in true form, the RinkRats had played superbly as a team, and kept the current top of the ladder team tied up in a very close battle, regardless of what the final scoreboard read."

9.30pm game this Wed July 1 against Bundamba/Tmba.

JERSEYS: Could all RinkRats bring all 3 of their jerseys on Friday nights please...& make sure all RinkRats bring both home & away jerseys on wed nights. If anyone owns a yellow, orange, green or black jersey please bring it along.
