LEVEL 1 CLASSES
In level 1 participants will learn the necessary basic skills to be able to enjoy drop-in hockey.
The first 4 weeks are off-rink, graduating to Digi Skating at Browns Plains for the real thing.
After completing Level 1 skaters are then able to participate in the RinkRats Fun & Friendly Friday Night League. Where each Friday night the Knights, Avengers, Assassins, Dragons & Digi Demons battle it out. Each team has a good cross section of talent. Some people are fast, some accurate, some just have good ‘hockey sense’, some are better at defense, some better at being a team player…very few are ever all these things. The focus is on your strengths & to acknowledge areas that need to be developed..hey that’s Level 2 & 3. No matter what your ability you are part of a team & will be an asset to that team.
If you are not sure if it’s your cup of tea, please come along any Friday to have a look & see what all the fuss is about. We have also be know to consume as many calories as we have just burnt off after the game at The Lone Star Tavern or at Fasta Pasta. (this is where I get to sell the virtues of Sk8Fit!..special deals for Hockey Heads) Warning..it is very addictive & still the best FUN I have all week.
(That’s what makes hockey so great you don’t have to be good at everything..different positions require different skills… the opportunity is also there to have ago at being a Goalie.)
