FFF (Fun & Friendly Fridays): “The Fun & Friendly Friday Tournament kicked off this week in what was a fantastic first round enjoyed by all.  Four new teams came together, all embracing their new team mates, and giving it their all as they waged war through the evening.  The new teams include the green Dinosaurs, the white Abominable Snowmen, dressed in black the Jackson 5 and lastly the Smurfs in blue.  Keep an eye on the www.rinkratsaustralia.com for the results of the first round, soon to posted.   For any family and friends who have yet to witness first hand the speed and skill of our talented players, don’t hesitate to come and join us to cheer on your favourite team and enjoy a fantastic nights entertainment, full of action and excitement.  The Dinosaurs win the award for team spirit this week, having a supporters bench full of toy dinosaurs all roaring their support.  Check out the FFFT this Friday night Sept 11 from 7:30pm for all of the action of round 2!” – RRR

*** Hey guys we are thinking of extending this 3 on 3 because we didn’t want to have the final with a lot of our players away at nationals. It would be much more exciting to have everyone there. Could all players let me know their availability for Oct 2..also the Sankeys will be here for that night..let me know also how Sept 11 is?? Not sure how long you guys are at nationals.

RINKRATS: “The Rink Rats were back to their winning ways again this week, taking on the Sunshine Coast team, and coming out on top.  The Rink Rats bench was overflowing, with 11 players all ready to do their part to correct the errors of the previous week.  It only took a short while for the group to find their groove, falling behind two goals before beginning to show their hand.  By half time, the Rats had clawed their way into the lead.  This trend continued through the second half, with Sunshine outscored 3 goals to 2, and forced to concede defeat.  The final score 7 – 5 to the Rink Rats.  Highlights of the game include, Canham (44) and Wallin both with 2 goals, and MacLean with 1 goal and 1 assist.  Congratulations to the Rats who this Wednesday take on Pine Rivers at 6:30pm.  Don’t miss your opportunity to see them in action!” – RRR
