for Sat Dec 8 at Ly’s Thai restaurant at Forest lake from 12noon til 4pm.
Cost is $25/head & is due immediately. All partners, family & friends are

nominations – funniest move, most stacks, best nickname, best rookie etc.

– ready to start at 7pm – bring runners & skates.
FFF: Only 3wks to go – some very exciting
hockey last week...with only 3 on a line x 2min shifts we had to work harder
than on a wed night! Please let me know if you are coming on Fridays or just
running late as it helps me sort the teams more quickly on the night and we
won’t lose valuable rink time...thank you and i am very grateful for
those that do.

Heads up – don’t
skate beyond your ability – tip – work on those abilities!
HIGHSTICKING/ SLASHING:
Basically swinging the stick above the shoulder is highsticking & below
that is slashing – you are responsible for your stick at all times
KICKING THE PUCK: Can kick
the puck – but with a deliberate kick towards the goal – that goal
will not be allowed
HANDLING THE PUCK: Can catch
the puck, can’t close hand over it, can bat the puck away but cannot pass
to a team mate
UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS:
Charging & holding is not allowed but there is not intended to be no
contact – certainly some jostling will occur in pursuit of the puck.
INTERFERENCE: Can’t interfere
with the person without the puck – more lenience is shown in the slot

SLOT: high percentage scoring
opportunity – in your end keep them out of the slot or get in front of/mark
the man in the slot
3 PLAYING LANES: Middle lane
is your teams playing lane and the outside 2 lanes are the oppositions playing
lanes
